Gorka Fius

Gorka Fius is an entrepreneur, investor, and venture capital executive with extensive experience in biotechnology investing, company building, and venture development. As Founder and CEO of Dreavent, he has led the firm's growth into a biotechnology investment platform focused on identifying, evaluating, and supporting high-potential therapeutic companies.

Throughout his career, Gorka has built deep expertise in investment strategy, due diligence, portfolio development, and venture creation. He has assembled multidisciplinary teams with backgrounds spanning venture capital, pharmaceutical development, translational science, and biotechnology entrepreneurship, creating an investment platform that supports innovative companies from evaluation through growth.

His investment approach has led to collaborations and co-investments alongside globally recognized pharmaceutical companies, including Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, Merck, and Sanofi, as well as leading biotechnology investment firms such as 5AM Ventures, K2 HealthVentures, and Abingworth.

As General Partner of the Spain-US Biotech Fund, Gorka leads the Fund's investment strategy and operational execution, overseeing investment evaluation, portfolio development, and value creation, and helping to build a disciplined, world-class biotechnology investment platform.
